come again?

have you ever noticed how people will often repeat what you tell them as a question?
this happens all the time at the hotel.
they will ask me a question
and i will answer them
and they will then proceed to repeat what i just told them
but form it into a question.
as if they need some extra reassurance...

i guess, really...we all do.
